Coconut is a delicious fruit. The English name of Coconut is the scientific name Cocos nucifera. Coconut is one of the most economical crops in Bangladesh. In raw condition it is called Doba, whose water is very tasty and nutritious. It is called zucchini coconut after crushing. There is a circulation of coconut food in almost all the countries of the world.

Coconut trees grow everywhere in Bangladesh. However, coconut production is high in coastal districts, especially in Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Bhola, Chittagong, Faridpur and Jessore districts. There are 354 calories, 33 grams of fat, 20 mg sodium, 356 mg potassium, 15 grams of carbohydrate and 3.3 grams of protein per 100 grams of coconut. There are also vitamins C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Vitamin B6 and B-12. Let’s now know the health benefits of coconut.

Studies have shown that coconut is the main food in Polynesia and Sri Lanka where there are fewer cholesterol or heart problems. The reason for this is explained in the fact that fatty acids that contain coconut cholesterol do not increase cholesterol, but reduce the risk of atherosclerosis to help keep the heart healthy. Even some females have found liquefied acid that is in mother’s milk.

Coconut destroys certain viruses. Viruses that cause infirmity of influenza, herpes, mumps etc, coconut spoil those viruses. As a result, some of these diseases are preserved.
